What are some good books for an M.Sc in biotech?
The Molecular Biology of the Cell by Bruce Alberts, Alexander Johnson, Julian Lewis, Martin Raff, Keith Roberts and Peter Walter is a foundational textbook for anyone studying biology at any level. This book is an absolute must-read for any student with an MSc in biotech who wants to enter the field of biotechnology or microbiology.
This book provides a thorough overview of cell biology and how it applies to all living things on Earth, including humans. It covers topics such as DNA replication and transcription; protein synthesis; signal transduction; cell division; cytology (microscopic anatomy); molecular biology (genetics); molecular evolution
Cell biology is the study of cells, which are the smallest units of life. They make up all living things and they do everything from making sure your body stays alive to helping it fight off infections (like when you get a cold). Cells also make up tissues, organs, and organ systems that keep you healthy and give you abilities like feeling pain or being able to breathe.
The book I recommend for learning cell biology is Essential Cell Biology by Alberts et al., published by Garland Science in 2003. It’s available online through Amazon or directly through the publisher (you can find links on their website), but if you want it in print then your best bet is probably going to be a library or used bookstore because they don't sell it new anymore.

The A Short Textbook of Medical Laboratory Technology, 2/e (PB) by Barr and Roberts is a comprehensive textbook that covers the fundamentals of medical laboratory technology. This book can be used as a reference book for students who are looking to enter the medical field and work in a lab or hospital.
The book has a detailed chapter on blood collection, processing and testing that explains how to collect blood samples from patients in the hospital setting. It also contains information on how to process blood samples using different techniques such as centrifugation and filtration methods. Human Genetics & Genomics (PB) by Robert W. Plomin
